How do I choose the right lesson level?

When booking online, you'll find detailed descriptions and videos explaining the different lesson levels to help you choose the one that suits your ability.

Where are the meeting points for group and private lessons?

The meeting points for group and private lessons are located at the Rosskopf top station and are marked with coloured flags. You can find an overview of all meeting points here .

Can I cancel a lesson?

You can cancel free of charge up to 3 days before the lesson starts. After that, cancellations are only possible with a medical certificate, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Do I need my own equipment?

You will need your own ski clothing and gloves. Skis, snowboards, toboggans, ski boots, helmets and all other equipment can be hired directly from the rental shop at the bottom station. Ski school guests benefit from discounted hire rates.

Can I reserve a toboggan in advance and how much does it cost?

There is no need to reserve a toboggan in advance. Simply register on arrival and we'll provide you with a toboggan and helmet. Toboggan hire costs €13 per day, including insurance for the toboggan.

Do I have to wear a helmet when skiing or tobogganing?

Yes. Wearing a helmet is a legal requirement for both children and adults on ski slopes and tobogganing runs.

Can I return my hired equipment later than originally booked?

If you would like to keep your equipment for longer than your original booking, please let us know so we can check availability. Any additional hire charges can be paid when you return the equipment.

Is the lift pass included in the lesson?

No. The lift pass must be purchased separately at the Rosskopf lift ticket office or online. Children up to the age of 7 receive a free lift pass.

What happens if I'm late?

We recommend arriving at the meeting point around 5 minutes before your lesson starts. Time missed due to late arrival cannot be made up.

What happens in bad weather?

Lessons take place as scheduled as long as the lifts are operating and teaching can be carried out safely. If lessons cannot take place due to the weather, we'll do our best to arrange a suitable alternative or reschedule them. If the lifts are closed because of strong winds, you may also keep your hired equipment for an extra day. Cold temperatures, snowfall and fog are generally not considered reasons for cancelling ski lessons.

Right at the Rosskopf bottom station: ski school and ski & toboggan hire – for a stress-free start to your day on the snow

The Outdoor Center brings together a ski school and ski hire service right at the Rosskopf bottom station. Short distances, clearly organised meeting points and personalised support ensure a smooth and stress-free start to your day on the slopes. At the bottom station, you’ll find everything you need for your time on Rosskopf, from skis and snowboards to toboggans and snowshoes.
Many of our guests return year after year, appreciating our excellent organisation, welcoming atmosphere and the professionalism of our Rosskopf ski instructors.
Our team consists of local ski and snowboard instructors as well as experienced rental staff. Everyone speaks German and Italian, and most also speak English.

Book ski lessons

Children's ski lessons – half-day or full-day

Learning through play, building confidence and enjoying every turn on the slopes: our children's group lessons are designed for beginners and more experienced skiers aged 4 and above.
Groups consist of 4–10 children.

Half-day lessons: 2 hours (11:00 am–12:55 pm). Available throughout the season

Full-day lessons: 4 hours (11:00 am–4:10 pm, including a hot lunch). Available during the Christmas and Carnival holidays

Learning through play
Lessons follow the South Tyrolean children's ski curriculum, with a strong focus on safety, age-appropriate teaching methods and developing a love of skiing through fun and games.

Final race
Every Friday, all participants take part in a friendly race and receive a medal and certificate.

Adult group lessons – it's never too late to learn or improve

Whether you're taking your very first turns, returning to skiing after a break or looking to refine your technique, our group lessons bring together skiers of a similar ability.
Groups consist of at least 4 participants with a comparable skiing level.

Lesson times
Sunday/Monday to Friday, daily from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Private lessons with personalised coaching (skiing and snowboarding)

Private lessons are ideal for anyone who prefers individual instruction or wants to focus on specific technical goals, whether on your own, with your family or in a small private group (maximum 3 participants of a similar ability).
Lessons are scheduled flexibly and tailored to your level, pace and personal objectives. Private lessons are available for:

children aged 3 and over (skiing) and ged 6 and over (snowboarding)
returning skiers
technique improvement and carving
powder skiing and off-piste
snowboard lessons
guests with specific needs or those requiring individual support
