Equestrian days at Prati "Jumping in the Alps"

7/8/2026 09:00 - 20:00

Equestrian tournament “Jumping in the Alps”

This year, the equestrian tournament in Prati, near Vipiteno, presents itself with renewed splendour under the motto “Jumping in the Alps”. The event expands and now includes three competitions spread over ten days. The programme is as follows:

• 1st Tournament (July 3 – 5)

National Competition A***

• 2nd Tournament (July 7 – 8)

National Competition B***

• 3rd Tournament (July 10 – 12)

National Competition A*****

With exciting competitions ranging from 40 cm to 145 cm in height, participants of the highest level from all over Italy and abroad, and impeccable organisation, the tournament is already regarded today as the most important equestrian event in South Tyrol. What once began in the municipal park of Prati now takes place at the modern equestrian facility Wiesenhof. The aim is to further consolidate this leading position, while simultaneously promoting the local economy and the visibility of South Tyrol.

The unique atmosphere around Vipiteno and its location at about 1,000 metres above sea level in northern South Tyrol make the event particularly appealing, especially during the hot summer months, since in many other Italian regions tournaments cannot be held at this time. Thanks to the new format and increased prize money, numerous high-level riders from all over Italy are expected again this year. Over the past twenty years, the tournament has established itself as one of the most important show jumping competitions in northern Italy. This year, approximately 240 participants are expected for each tournament – a new record for show jumping competitions in the Trentino-Alto Adige region.
