Alpine Guide Hanspeter Eisendle

Hanspeter Eisendle, born in 1956 in Sterzing, trained as an art teacher and has worked as a mountain guide since 1982. He has taken part in several Himalayan expeditions and is considered one of the finest climbers in the Dolomites, with numerous first ascents to his name. He has established sport climbing routes up to grade 10. His extreme climbs around the world are driven more by the experience of personal exposure than by the pursuit of performance itself. He lives with his family in Sterzing.
