Thermo Wipptal

Thermo Wipptal AG has been supplying its customers with sustainable energy from wood for over 20 years. The company produces district heating and distributes it to over 1,100 customers in Sterzing, Wiesen, Gasteig and Stange. The district heating network is now over 60 kilometres long. A second plant is currently under construction on the road "Jaufenstraße", which will enable us to supply the dairy farm in Sterzing with energy from biomass in future. Thanks to the activities of Thermo Wipptal AG, it has been possible to save around 8,500,000 litres of heating oil in the district and replace it with wood.
